Patty Wurster brings a background in toy design, education and fine arts to writing and illustrating children's books. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and the Buffalo Niagara Children's Writers and Illustrators (BNCWI). 

She is an exhibiting member of the Buffalo Society of Artists (BSA) and her paintings have been included in regional, national and international exhibitions.

Patty Wurster has her MFA in Painting from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. and her BFA in Painting from Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA.
