Jan was a school librarian for 32 years, and now works as a public librarian.  She is the author of Rope Burn, Doing Time Online and My Nights at the Improv, three novels for middle grade readers. She has also written many publications about librarianship and education.  
 "I love bringing kids and books together," says Jan.  "Books can show us what is possible in the world.  They can help us to shape the stories of our own lives."
