Cassy Clarcq has been a proud member of BNCWI since about a year after its inception and is BNCWI’s Co-Coordinator and a regular contributor to the newsletter. She holds a BA in English Education and is the Director of Children’s programming at her local library, a voluntary position she created. She hosts a family story time, a holiday children’s craft fair, and young authors’ writing contests. She also frequently guest teaches about writing and poetry at the local school.
Her first writing love is creating picture books, but she is also known to write poetry, short stories, middle grade and adult novels. She loves to try out new genres and perspectives to challenge herself and expand her skill as a writer and teacher. When she’s not writing, creating programming, or volunteering, she can be found taking walks in the wood, biking, making crafts, or having a cup of tea. You can find her on Facebook @CassyClarcqCreates.
